Little Shell group passes amendments

Two proposed amendments to the Little Shell Tribal constitution passed overwhelmingly following a final ballot count Saturday, paving the way for a new election. However, the tribe's president said the amendment election and pending tribal election, which is being organized by a separate faction within the tribe, are illegal and won't be recognized by the tribal government.
